JEFFERSON CITY, Mo (KFVS) -- The Department of Corrections is investigating the death of a prisoner from the Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston.
Officials said 52-year-old Eugene Chrisman died just before 5:00p.m. Monday at a hospital in Jefferson city.
Authorities say Chrisman was serving a life sentence for several charges in Jackson and Randolph counties, including rape, murder and armed criminal action.
An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
