BOONVILLE, MO (KFVS) - Cooper County Memorial Hospital & Clinics CEO Jeffrey Durham was fired Wednesday because of a felony theft conviction, according to a news release from the hospital.
Durham pleaded guilty and was convicted last month, writes Cooper County Memorial Chief Administrative Officer Stormy Anderson. Anderson did not go into further detail, but said the thefts occurred between Nov. 7 thru Nov. 27, 2005, while Durham was employed as CEO of Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
A spokesperson for Massac Memorial confirmed Durham once served as CEO at the hospital but declined to comment on his current situation.
Durham had been employed as Cooper County Memorial CEO since June, 2008, and was not fired for any wrongdoing at CCM, according to the news release.
