Good Morning
It's Friday, October 16
This morning we're finding out more about the balloon incident in Colorado. On The Breakfast Show you'll hear new sound from the boy thought to have been inside the wayward weather balloon yesterday over the plains of Colorado. He says it was all part of a show - now everyone's asking what he meant by that. See the whole story around 6:30 this morning. You can also watch The Breakfast Show LIVE on your computer right now.
Also this morning the search is still on for a missing 16-year-old Benton, IL teen (see picture on side).
This morning we'll also be talking about students and what's being done in one local school to help them understand people with disabilities. It's called the Everybody Counts program where the children are put in the position of someone with a wheelchair, crutches, walker or being blind. As Lauren will show us this morning around 6:45 it's an amazing experience for the students.
And Laura is in this morning talking about a much colder forecast. She's talking fall - she's talking light showers - she's talking sun .... Yeah it's a big Heartland and what happens this weekend will really depend on where you live.
Laura might, might also talk about frost. And if she doesn't - Lauren and Paul will. Heartland Gardener Paul Schnare is in this morning to talk about your gardens and yards and about frost and freezing. He's answering this question, "Is it OK to trim the shrubs now? Someone said if we trimmed them now and got a frost early, it would kill them." Good question - and we'll all get the answer this morning around 6:20 on The Breakfast Show.
I hope you have a great weekend - no matter the weather. And thank you for making us a part of your morning.
