EAST ST. LOUIS, IL (KFVS) - A U.S. District Court jury in East St. Louis has found a Marion inmate guilty of possessing marijuana and intent to distribute, said U.S. Attorney A. Courtney Cox.
Cox identified the inmate as Corey Louis Hines, 38. The jury ruled Hines, an inmate at the U.S. Penitentiary at Marion, committed the offenses from Sept. 15, 2007 through Sept. 21, 2007.
Hines faces a maximum sentence on each count of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine and three years supervised release. Sentencing is currently scheduled for April 9, 2010.
