OLIVE BRANCH, MO (KFVS) - Bicycle riders got quite the treat Saturday in Southern Illinois.
They took in the beautiful fall scenery while riding a 100 mile route through the Shawnee National Forest.
Riders rode along the trails that Lincoln once traveled to Thebes from Jonesboro and the trails the French used to enter Illinois.
The Tour de Shawnee was put on by Alexander County Tourism and Southern Most Illinois Delta Empowerment Zone.
Money raised goes to tourism projects and a scholarship fund at Shawnee Community College.
