IRONTON, MO (KFVS) - Arcadia Valley R-II schools in Ironton will be closed the remainder of the week due to sickness, said to superintendent Jim Carver.
Carver said the decision came after about 19% of the district's students were absent Monday due to flu-like symptoms.
All other school-related activities other than the school's volleyball games, which were scheduled to be played out-of-town, were also cancelled, Carver said.
According to Carver, school officials will thoroughly clean and disinfect all classrooms and hallways while school is not in session.
