JOHNSTON CITY, IL (KFVS) - Officials released the name of a 15-year-old girl involved in a deer-related car crash in rural Johnston City.
Madyson Darnell was killed after the car she was riding in veered off the road to avoid hitting the deer.
It happened at 6:16 p.m. Friday on Monroe Road.
According to Williamson County Coroner Mike "Junior" Burke, the teen's mother was behind the wheel when say she swerved to miss a deer in the road, lost control of the vehicle and overturned.
Burke said the teen died from the injuries resulting from the crash. Her name is not being released at this time.
