CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo (KFVS) -- The battle between Jay Purcell and the Cape Girardeau county commission is heading the Missouri Supreme Court.
Tuesday Missouri's highest court says it will hear the case.
Purcell sued the commission in 2008 claiming members violated the state's open meetings and records act.
The circuit court ruled in favor of the county commission so Purcell appealed the ruling.
The court of appeals ruled in favor of the commission again so Purcell requested a hearing before the Missouri Supreme Court and the court decided Tuesday it will hear the case.
