DU QUOIN, IL (KFVS) - A car crash in Perry County, Illinois sent a sheriff's deputy to the hospital. The wreck happened around 5:15 p.m. Monday as deputy Tim Jablonski was heading to an emergency call.
According to the sheriff's department, Deputy Jablonski crashed into a pick-up at the intersection of South Washington and Grant Way. Deputy Jablonski's car caught fire as a result of the collision.
Deputy Jablonski was taken to Marshall-Browning hospital in Du Quoin and later transferred to a St Louis hospital where he's listed in stable condition.
According to the Illinois State Police, the person in the other car was 20-year-old Kyle Jones of Du Quoin. He had minor injuries.
