KENTUCKY LAKE, (KFVS) - Crews were back out on Kentucky Lake Tuesday searching for a missing 69-year-old fisherman.
Searchers used boats equipped with side scan sonar to image the bottom, while other crews searched the shoreline for evidence of 69-year-old Robert Bramlett.
Crews battled cold and wind Monday as they searched more than 450 acres of muddy bottom of Kentucky lake in the search for a missing man.
Marshall County Emergency Management officials say Bramlett of Livingston County disappeared Saturday afternoon.
He'd been fishing on Kentucky Lake at Rocky Point near Grand Rivers.
Crews used GPS to find his cell phone which led them to his boat.
It had run aground just northeast of the area where he was last seen.
However Bramlett is still missing.
Rescuers are using sidescan sonar running grids in a search area totaling almost three square miles.
More than 50 volunteers assisted Tuesday in the land and water search. Marshall County Rescue, Marshall County GIS, Marshall County EM, Mayfield-Graves County Rescue, East Marshall Fire, Fairdealing-Olive Fire Department, McCracken County Rescue, Grand Lakes Fire-Rescue, Lakeland Red Cross, Ky Division of Emergency Management, Smithland Fire, Ky Fish and Wildlife, assisted in the search.
