SIKESTON, MO (KFVS)- The Sikeston Department of Public Safety and the SEMO Drug Task Force find two Meth Labs in a Sikeston home.

Around 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 20, officers say they responded to 231 Edmonson Apt. W to serve a search warrant.

Inside the apartment they say they found two active "shake and bake" style meth labs, numerous chemicals and 7 grams of methamphetamine.

Police say they also found an eighteen month old child sleeping approximately 10 feet from where the active labs were located.

Police arrested Charles M. Bell, 42, of Sikeston and then contacted the Scott County Juvenile Office and Missouri Children's Division.

Bell is being held on Scott County charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and endangering the welfare of a child in the first degree.

He was given a $100,000 cash only bond and remains in custody awaiting his arraignment.
