FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. (AP) - Officials are renaming an Army Reserve center in Kentucky in honor of an officer from southwestern Pennsylvania who was killed by a roadside bomb in Iraq. The 81st Regional Support Command will honor U.S. Army Maj. Michael L. Mundell during a ceremony tomorrow at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

PADUCAH, Ky. (AP) - Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell and Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes will appear today at the annual Fancy Farm picnic. The unique event features a raucous crowd that frequently interrupts candidates' speeches. Both candidates say they want to debate.

BYRDSTOWN, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee investigators say a Kentucky man has been arrested in the deaths of a father and son whose bodies were found at their family-owned store. Police say Joshua Clay Pyles of Monticello, Kentucky, killed 58-year-old Dan Dowdy and 22-year-old Cody Dowdy late Wednesday in Pickett County. Police are still investigating the motive.

PRINCETON, Ky. (AP) - The outlook for Kentucky's upcoming harvest depends on where farmers live. National stats show overall, 49 percent of the statewide corn crop was in good condition as of last Sunday. Twenty-two percent was fair and 12 percent poor or very poor.
