Chances are, unless you have a brand new car, your vehicle has a scratch or two and fixing those blemishes can be expensive. On this week's Does It Work, we test what could be a cheap alternative to restoring
On this week's Does It Work, we test what could be a cheap alternative to restoring that original perfection with the DuPont Repair Stick.

EZ Combs promise to pull your hair back, with ease, in a number of different ways. We start with tester Nicole Sewell's somewhat thin, wavy hair, but she has a lot of tresses.

"These don't look like there's much to 'em," says Nicole as she grabs one of the EZ Combs.

EZ Combs boast a number of hairstyles you can try. It's basically a sliding comb that's surrounded by elastic bands, except they don't appear to be all that durable. "There are just thin wire and they bend quite easily."

We'll keep that in mind for sure. First, hair style #1: the classic pullback. "It's really hard to get all of the hair caught up in it."

True, but it's working so far. The bungee-like bands pull the hair together, at least in this look. "Now here comes the fun part."

The so-called "Fountain" updo works, but not with ease.  The third look, a ponytail, causes Nicole to really tug hard on the combs. "Oh my, ow! Now that feels really loose," she says.

Hold that thought. We'll test that in a second.  You can really see on the final look called the "Butterfly Twist", the bands are really starting to loosen. This style is not so "easy" to accomplish either. "It's tangling my hair!" a frustrated Nicole says.

It's much easier to use a brush, put your hair back, and slide in a comb or barrette of your choice. Finally, the commercial brags about how the EZ Combs never fall out.  A runner even is shown wearing the combs.

Well, our "runner" Nicole shakes her head once, and the combs fall right out!

"No so easy now!" she laughs.

Right on, girl. And, after just four uses - yes - four uses - the classic style doesn't hold anymore. The updo falls out, as do the other styles. "It's a dollar store product in a $10 package."

Speaking of the package, you won't believe this. I just happened to grab the package with a bunch of typos. First, the word "styling" is misspelled as "stylling" Perhaps that's not as big a deal though as this mishap. The label says we should get black and brown EZ Combs, but these are red and white!

Enough said - EZ Combs are some of the cheapest-made products I've ever tested.

"The more we tried it, the looser it's getting, it's not worth it. It's just not worth it," says Nicole.

Whatever you do, don't buy them online of off the TV commercial. You'll end up paying upwards of $20 by the time you pay shipping.

"You've wasted your money. Grade F!" says Nicole.

Yup, EZ Combs easily fail my Does it Work test.
