Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Marie Wilfong from Chester, Illinois:
"Most of the time I agree with Mike Smythe and lately (he) has been talking about bikers wearing helmets...my son had a dirt bike in the 80's and took a class on helmet use. He was wearing a helmet when he had an accident. It would have sliced the whole side of his face if had not been wearing a helmet. He had insurance and most companies who insure riders (should) have the last say."
Courtney Cooper from Jackson, Missouri:
"I do not think it should be up to the motorcycle riders whether or not they wear a helmet. People who drive cars daily do not get the right to decide on seat belts which can save lives. The helmet is the same for motorcyclists."
Rebecca Patton-Madrid from Piedmont, Missouri:
"I am a female, caucasian 911 emergency operator. I know there are circumstances in which law enforcement officers are subjected to agitated, belligerent individuals who do raise their voice. It is up to the law enforcement officer to keep calm and diffuse the situation. Once Dr. Henry Gates showed identification the officer should have backed off."
Heartland viewer David Ullman:
"My generation was brought up to respect authority. In the 60's that all changed. Like Mike Smythe stated, it is not wise to become agitated or a smart aleck to a cop."
