The Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo raised more than $80,000 from raffles, ticket sales, efforts from the Jaycees and other fundraisers in the area.

That money will go to patient services like transportation for those battling cancer.

Earlier this month the Stoddard County Relay for Life raised more than $82291.08 for research.

There're several relays coming up in the area.

  • Aug. 21 - Reynolds County, Dunklin County
  • Sept. 11 - Carter County
  • Sept. 18 - Ripley County
  • Sept. 25 - Bollinger County

A Pretty in Pink gala will be held October 1st from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at The Venue in Cape Girardeau.  Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door. 

A breast cancer luncheon will be October 7th at Drury Lodge.  A Pretty in Pink 5K run/walk will be Saturday, October 17th at Arena Park in Cape Girardeau.  For more information call 573-986-7007.
