Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Charles Hill from Cape Girardeau:
"Regarding Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on the sugar tax...this is just another way to get more out of the little guy to pay for their waste. How about a tax every time a (politician) says something stupid or lies? We would be green in no time..."
Dr. Chancellor Wayne from Kennett, Missouri:
"Regarding Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on pharmaceutical advertising...they pay a large percentage of his salary. Advertising adds hundreds of millions of dollars to the cost of the medication. The average advertisement gives the public enough information that if they want to try the medication all they do is tell the MD that have symptoms A, B, and C so they need medication D. (Mike Smythe) is smart enough to ask the right questions and so is John Q. Public. Our main goal is Public Safety First!"
Barb Ayers from Poplar Bluff, Missouri:
"Regarding the government no longer providing the cost of living to our Social Security checks, we have worked all our lives, paid our taxes, paid into the ‘system' and now that we are old they are depriving us of a reasonable life. There is something wrong with this picture. Are we ‘throw-away' people? Are we not the ones who have worked for 50 years and now we are going to be cheated out of that which we have worked for?...I only wish the people who have made this asinine decision had to try to live on the average amount paid to those of us who are now considered elderly."
