YourTurn - 4/12/10

Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.

Carla Jones from Poplar Bluff, Missouri:
"(The government) is wasting tax money by sending a letter (regarding the census). I received a post card to remind me to do it…another is being mailed out to make sure everyone takes part…anyone who wants to voice a complaint can do so by email and postal mail."

Jerry Wilson from Carrier Mills, Illinois:
"Start drug testing people who receive food stamps…if they fail cut them off and make them provide for themselves…I understand some people need help but there are (many) who have cash in their pockets. They must have some sort of job to have all that cash!"

Southeast Missouri resident Nancy Allen:
"If the Missouri State Income tax is replaced by raising the sales tax it will be a tremendous hardship on the elderly. This will especially (hurt) those with a fixed income or anyone else who can't pick up an odd job to make the difference."

Sandra Hooker from Caruthersville, Missouri:
"Thanks to Mike Smythe and KFVS12 for helping make our Middle School MAP assembly a success! We appreciated having Todd Richards and Chad Fryman at our school…our kids were motivated to do their best on the MAP test.
