SALINE COUNTY, IL (KFVS) - Saline County's former Chief Deputy faces two additional charges.

Todd Fort has been charged with another count of criminal sexual assault and an additional count of official misconduct.

Fort was already charged with four counts each of criminal sexual assault and official misconduct. Investigators say they stem from incidents between him and a 17-year-old girl who worked at the sheriff's department.

After today's court proceedings, a nurse took DNA samples from Fort.

Todd Fort is also the President of the Harrisburg School Board. The board has asked him to formally resign, but he has yet to do that.

He remains in the Jackson County Jail on $250,000 bond.
