Say goodbye to sinking and getting stuck in the grass? Oh, and say hello to TV's Leeza Gibbons. "OK, my friend Leeza wears heels better than anybody I know" says KLTV's Joe Terrell. "I only wear them
But in a world where we encase our cell phones, our sunglasses - we even sell cases to cover our suitcases - do we really need cap covers for our high heels?

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO  (KFVS) -This week's Does it Work product is like a flashback to the 1980s. It's a friendship bracelet maker.

No longer do you need a clipboard or Scotch tape to hold the yarns in place while you make the bracelet. Instead, a $20 kit from Hobby Lobby holds it all in place for you, but Does it Work?

Testers Brittany Rogers and Ashley Strop say friendship bracelets themselves are pretty popular once again.

"Yeah, I've seen a lot of different kinds at school. We're making them more now. Yeah, I think they're making a comeback," said Ashley.

Of course the girls have their own system to make the bracelets.

"We just tape the ends," said Brittany.

With the Bracelet Maker, the butterfly clip holds the yarn in place.

"You can move it up and down when the strings get shorter," said Brittany.

Slots on the kit keep the string from getting tangled. Plus, with the help of an online instructional video, you can make all different designs of bracelets.

"I like how it helps you separate the strings better. I usually get them tied up in a knot," said Brittany.

Brittany and Ashley admit it's easier to follow the video instructions online. The directions on paper tend to make the process a bit harder than it has to be.

"I can probably do the easier designs the video shows, but maybe not the harder ones," said Ashley.

I'm impressed though with the girls' finished product. It's much more detailed than the cool bracelets they already make.

Sure, a regular ole' clipboard or tape will do, but there are some advantages to this kit. It comes with 56 threads and the video to help you make different kinds of bracelets.

"I'd give it an 'A," said Ashley.

"I'd give it a 'B," said Brittany.

I'll "make nice" between the two friends and go tie it off in the middle, with a B+ for the $20 My Friendship Bracelet Maker on this Does it Work test.  You can buy My Friendship Bracelet Maker from Hobby Lobby or at www.myfbm.com
