Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
David Martin from Southeast Missouri:
"I couldn't agree more with Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on the public smoking ban. If Smythe is so serious about cleaning the air we breathe in the Heartland, here is a challenge. Look at field burning; the residue directly impacts the safety and health of citizens breathing the air. Something bothers me about dumping chemicals and poisons on the fields year round and then setting them on fire for all of us to breathe. Going after agriculture in the area is the political third rail (but) someone has to take on this issue."
Mildred Halterman from Anna, Illinois:
"I saw Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on the rubber cancer bracelets. As the daughter of one, and a grandmother of another breast cancer survivor, and the widow from another form of cancer, I promote all activities that promote breast cancer awareness…among the young adult women of the current generation there seems to be an epidemic of breast cancer. And, don't forget, men can get breast cancer. The time is long past for breast cancer to be a taboo subject."
Heartland viewer Tina Sandus:
"The preacher in Florida was wrong (to talk about burning the Koran). How many U.S. citizens who died on 9/11 were Muslim? I do believe in religious freedom but we need to draw a line."
