YourTurn - 10/22/10

Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.

Jack Deckard from Perryville, Missouri:
"Every election it seems like the campaign advertising gets more and more negative…this year is the worst I have ever seen. I wish they would talk specifics…it seems that none of them have no idea how to straighten out our problems…we should get rid of everybody who is now in office and start with all new people."

Charlotte Gilmore from Bertrand, Missouri:
"I don't know what obscure and complicated formula the government bases the Cost of Living Adjustment but MY base is what I pay for a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk, a dozen eggs and the cost of electricity for my home. It keeps going up and up. If the people who determine OUR cost of living get raises, then we should!"

Heartland viewer Allen Wilson:
"(Regarding Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on banning smoking in public places) I don't believe anyone should have the right to ban smoking in public places. If someone around you is smoking, why not politely ask them to move somewhere else…it seems no one can agree on one set thing. If you take away our rights to smoke in public places then people who do not smoke should give up something in return to create some kind of balance."
