Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Peg Marshall from Dresden, Tennessee:
"I watch your news and have heard Mike Smythe's ViewPoint topics. (Here) is the topic that needs to be addressed. Several rural community polls were not open when the federal law states that all offices were to be open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m. to accommodate the working class of this country…some did not open until 9:00 a.m. I hope you will shed some light on this subject and what other local communities are (doing) with this same issue."
Jack Deckard from Perryville, Missouri:
"The citizens of Cape Girardeau have passed the casino proposition. The politicians said it would increase revenue for the city…it is pathetic that any government body would want to supplement their budget by having people lose their money."
Steve Morrison from Fredericktown, Missouri:
"It's amazing (that) the cost of living has not increased enough to (allow) social security recipients to get a raise this year or last year. It went up enough to warrant two raises for congressmen and senators and at least one for most government employees. I agree with the YourTurn viewer who said it is time to clean house and maybe eliminate some (government) positions all together."
