The phrase: "There's no place like home" certainly applies to Holly Brantley, who was born and raised in Southeast Missouri. She's a girl who loves to travel, and after seeing a lot of this world, there's still no place she'd rather live and work. Holly feels it's an honor to tell the stories of her friends and neighbors in the Heartland. With grandparents from Pemiscot County, dad from Poplar Bluff, and several relatives with ties to Scott City she feels at home everywhere in the Heartland.
"It's not unusual to find myself interviewing a former teacher or run into a friend or relative while out on a story," said Holly. "That's one of the highlights of my job."
Holly went to high school at Cape Central and is a graduate of the University of Missouri. She is a die-hard fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and of course the Missouri Tigers.
In her spare time, Holly loves to run. She's completed five half-marathons and someday hopes to do a full. Her other favorite activities including riding horses and teaching dance classes as a certified Zumba Instructor.
She's involved with Rotary Club, Out of Poverty Through Education, and the Girl Scouts of America. If you have a story idea or a question, e-mail Holly

A New Jersey company that operates 13 TGI Fridays restaurants accused of secretly replacing premium liquor with low-quality booze says it's shocked at the allegations.
