YourTurn - 11/19/10

Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.

Bob Hennessey from Johnston City, Illinois:
"I agree with Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on (the problem) of using credit scores to determine rates. I agree on that one. However, on his opinion regarding red light cameras, I could not disagree more. I used to live in Southern California and red light running reached epidemic proportions. I did my own survey for a week and the average vehicle count per day of running red lights was between 20 to30…I see (red light cameras) as a determent to scofflaw drivers and if the side effect happens to be a revenue source for the city, so be it."

Keith Sander from Cape Girardeau:
"A big AMEN to Mike Smythe regarding credit scores and the insurance industry…AIG went bankrupt and all they did was change their name…I wish it was that easy for all of us who lost our jobs. There are folks out there that can't pay on time due to no fault of their own but are penalized with triple rates on insurance when for 20 or 30 years they always paid on time. Mike, I wish you had the solution on what we could do."

Sam and Jan Jarrell from Cape Girardeau:
"We would like to comment on Mike Smythe's Casino ViewPoint that voting YES ‘is the right thing to do.' The world may see it as the right thing to do but according to God's word it is NOT the right thing to do. We need to take a stand on what we as Christians believe in."
