Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Delbert Hendrix from East Prairie, Missouri:
"I go along with Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on drowsy driving. I worked in a factory overnight and caught myself on several occasions dozing off driving down the highway…I was stopped by a Missouri trooper a couple of times and he was nice enough to escort me all the way home…the trooper told me drowsy driving was just as bad, if not worse, than drunk driving."
Gerald Burnsed from Dexter, Missouri:
"All of the U.S. Congress Representatives and Senators who really want to lower the deficit should go back the last three years and rescind the pay raises that they voted for themselves while giving Social Security recipients nothing."
Rickey Gockel from Cape Girardeau:
"Regarding the closing of the Ponderosa restaurant, I went through the same thing in 2001 when Western Sizzlin' closed. A law needs to be passed that when a business closes they have to give workers a minimum of one week notice. This would give workers at least a little time to find another job. Good luck to all the Ponderosa workers. I know it is hard but try not to let it get you down."
