CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO  (KFVS)--Makers of the Spill Daddy Paint Pro say it just can't spill! Really? We'll see. My tester is Becky Fluchel from Habitat for Humanity. At their fundraiser shop called the ReStore, there are all kinds of home projects going on. Becky's already unsure though the Spill Daddy could help with some of those.

"That probably won't even do a door!"

Paint may not spill in this gadget, but this bucket's also not going to hold much paint. The directions tell you to only fill it to about an inch. That may be key in keeping it from spilling.

Just like the commercial shows, we put the bucket upside down, sideways and more. It never spilled! I even kicked it.  So, we're feeling pretty confident, even confident enough to put the Spill Daddy over our heads, like the commercial shows. Well...maybe. I'm still very nervous. However, Becky  makes this point: 

"Even if it did spill, you won't get much on you!"

True, but I put the old clothes on, just in case. Turns out I didn't need them! The paint didn't spill!

With that, time to move on and see what happens when we knock the pail off the ladder. On the commercial, nothing spilled there either. 

However, in this real-life situation our test found the Spill Daddy will eventually spill. Our bright purple paint ends up all over the floor of the ReStore, making a huge mess. We are so glad no one was walking by when it spilled! Just like that, this product falls to a failing grade and leaves us with one huge mess on our hands...literally!

"It'd have to be an 'F'. Not worth the trouble," said Becky.

You'll constantly have to re-fill the bucket with paint, and it looks like it can spill after all. We'll pass on the $20 mess-maker. We have no trouble painting the Spill Daddy Paint Pro with the worst grade 'F' on this Does it Work test!
