Fire confirmed at Flickerwood Arena near Fruitland

FRUITLAND, MO (KFVS) - A fire had been confirmed at Flickerwood Arena on Larch Lane.

According to witnesses, there was a lot of smoke coming from behind the building.

Some wood chips caught fire in a silo around 1 p.m., according to officials on the scene.

Fireman Andy Renner says no one was hurt because of the blaze, and they don't know a cause for the fire yet.

The fire started in the back building a moved its way forward, according to Renner.

According to Renner, you could see smoke all the way from the interstate. 

Eight fire departments were on the scene, according to officials.

Fire crews were still on the scene at 5 p.m. to put out any hot spots making sure the fire doesn't spark up again.

Fire crews from Fruitland, East County and Jackson fire departments fought the blaze.
