The Jackson County Health Department is offering free tetanus vaccines for those affected by the flood. The Jackson County Health Department is offering free tetanus vaccines for those affected by the flood.

The Jackson County Health Department is offering free tetanus vaccines for those affected by the flood, although not everyone may need a dose at this time.

You may need a dose of tetanus containing vaccine if you were exposed to flood waters and:

  • You are an adult who has not received tetanus containing vaccine in
    the last 10 years
  • You are a child who has not completed the tetanus series or is behind
  • You are a teen or adult with a wound exposed to flood waters that as
    not had tetanus containing vaccine in the last 5 years.

Vaccine can be accessed at Jackson County Health Department daily during business hours.
