CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Jacque Waller's friends say they refuse to let the story fade from the spotlight. They not only want her found, but they want justice.

"Not knowing is the hardest part," said Amy Strange.

Waller, 39, disappeared two weeks ago. She was last seen outside her estranged husband's home in Jackson.

Her car was found abandoned on the interstate. There are so many questions, and few answers.

"Every morning I wake up expecting to hear something, but no news," said Beth Brotherton.

Jacque Waller's friends and co-workers at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Cape Girardeau are on a mission. They refuse to let anyone forget their friend is missing.

"I think if Jacque were your mother, or sister, or friend, or daughter you would want everyone to remember what happened to her," said Bridgid Sample. "Ultimately we want her home."

Many local businesses are stressing that point. In Cape Girardeau workers at Tans R Us painted "Justice for Jacque" on the storefront.

"We're just passionate about her being found," said Dani Vitale. "We feel so bad for her family and wish them the best. Pray they get through this."

The support is overwhelming to Jacque's loved ones.

"Gives me chills to see the ribbons and signs, and see how many people she touched," said Bridgid Sample.

Friend Amy Strange says she ran with Jacque Waller daily at the gym. "Planned to run a 5K this summer with her," said Strange.

Instead, Amy Strange will run next weekend on June 25th on the "Justice for Jacque" team in the Safe House for Women's annual 5K run/walk in Cape Girardeau.

"We're running in her honor," said Jessie Wyatt. "It's perfect because the cause is for violence, and we're running for Jacque."

They do believe she's a victim of violence, and are losing hope they will ever see Jacque alive again.

"It's very hard", said Amy Strange. "I hope people will please call if they know anything (about her disappearance)."

Investigators continue to follow dozens of new leads.  Officers are still interviewing witnesses, tracking down surveillance video, and are waiting for results from the crime lab.

No arrests have been made yet, but Clay Waller-Jacque's estranged husband remains a person of interest.
