CARBONDALE, IL (KFVS) -

Thursday marked the 15th anniversary of an unsolved homicide in Carbondale.

Police say someone found Connie Cole-Holmes murdered inside her home at 402 South Walker Street, on June 16, 1996.

Her family's still offering a $6000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible.

In addition, the city of Carbondale is offering a $5000 reward for this and other unsolved homicides in the city.

Anyone with information is asked to call the City of Carbondale Police Department at (618) 457-3200. You can submit your information anonymously by calling the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at (618) 549-COPS (2677) or by submitting your information at www.carbondalepolice.com using the Online Crime Stoppers form.

Pyramids Apartment Fire

On December 6, 1992 five Southern Illinois University Carbondale students died as a result of an arson that occurred at 504 S. Rawlings St., the Pyramid Studio Apartments. The five students who were murdered were Kimiko Ajioka, Cheng Teck Wong, Ronald Moy, Lai Hung Tam, and Mazlina Ab Wahid, all residents of the apartment building in southwest Carbondale. The reward now stands at $6,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for setting the fire.

Connie Cole-Holmes

On June 16, 1996, the Connie Cole-Holmes homicide occurred at 402 S. Walker St. Connie Cole-Holmes was found murdered in her home in southeast Carbondale. The reward now stands at $6,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for her death.

Ryan Livingston

On July 12, 2006 the Ryan Livingston homicide occurred in the 300 block of W. Walnut St. Ryan Livingston was stabbed to death while walking on the sidewalk in southwest Carbondale. The reward now stands at $16,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for his death.

Falon Taylor

On January 6, 2007 the Falon Taylor homicide occurred at 417 East Oak Street. Two years after Falon's murder, the City of Carbondale Police Department arrested Elijah Lacy and charged him with First Degree Murder. Lacey's case is currently under appeal. Despite the arrest of Elijah Lacey, this investigation is still continuing and information on Lacey and additional suspect(s) is still being pursued, with additional arrests anticipated. The reward for this stands at $6,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for her death.
