If you thought Furby was old news, think again.

Have a sagging sofa? Slip Furniture Fix underneath those cushions and it's good as new, but Does it Work?

"It's been through all sorts of trials and tribulations," said Tracey Julian.

Her ten-year old couch has seen it all, but she's not ready to part ways with it just yet.

"It takes two of us to put together."

It does. Slide the plastic and flimsy pieces together. Supposedly, it's enough support to lift and fix your sagging upholstery, as the box reads. The kit comes with just enough inserts for us to put under one couch cushion.

"Well, I didn't sink as much," said Judy as she sits down for the first time on the cushion with Furniture Fix.

Next, she tried the other cushion that's equally sagging but without Furniture Fix underneath it.

"I think it works."

I'm still skeptical. So, we try it on Tracey's chair.

"Down you go!"

But with Furniture Fix?

"I still sink a little bit, but it's not at first when it's without it."

Problem is you can see Furniture Fix sticking out from underneath the cushion.

Plus, Tracey makes another good point:

"If someone bounced on the furniture, it might crack."

She says she'd still spend $20 on it for the time being while she saves up to buy another couch, but agrees with me that's this isn't the "fix-it-all" it claims to be.

"I'm not blown away by it. I don't think it deserves an 'A.'  Maybe a 'B minus' or C+."

It's a quick fix, but that's about it. The plastic's flimsy and if you're trying to restore something that's bigger than a love seat or a chair, the $20 price tag would go up considerably.

So, we sit on a C+ on this Does it Work test. Lauren bought this at Walmart in Sikeston.
