UPDATE 09/01/11 2:33pm: Tyler Police tell KLTV that law enforcement officials from Benton, Arkansas contact them in reference to Wednesday's credit union robbery.

Benton authorities say the suspect also wore a "fedora"-style hat during a robbery earlier this year. Officials believe it is the same suspect that robbed that same bank back in 2009.

Officials say that suspect is still at large.

If you see this suspect, you are asked to contact your local law enforcement or the FBI.

UPDATE:  After further review of surveillance video it has been determined that the possible suspect vehicle "does not" have a black front fender.  The pick-up should be the same color all the way around the vehicle.

Investigators have also enhanced the photo of the suspect in order to help identify the suspect.  Please see attached photos.

TYLER, TX (KLTV)- Tyler Police are on the lookout for a credit union robber. The robbery happened around 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at Altra Federal Credit Union on Troup Highway in Tyler.

We were on the scene as investigators first rolled out the crime scene tape.

Tyler Police said they responded the robbery alarm at Altra Federal Credit Union at 10:06 a.m. Wednesday.

In the credit union surveillance video you see the suspect enter the bank, approach the teller and hand her a note.

"[The suspect] did state verbally that this is a robbery and that he was serious at which time the teller did hand over an undisclosed amount of cash to him," said Don Martin with Tyler Police.

There were other customers in the bank at the time. While officials said he was armed, no one was hurt.

"The subject did display a handgun. It was in his belt so he did not take it out, he displayed it by lifting the shirt up and pulling the coat back to the teller," said Martin.

Witnesses told police the suspect is a white male in his mid thirties. They said the suspect had a slender build and was between 5'10 and 6 feet tall.

"Once he had the money, he left, went out on foot and he went to the rear of the business," said Martin.

Authorities said they believe the suspect escaped into a neighborhood located behind the credit union.

They questioned people living nearby. One woman said she told officials she thought she saw a man that met the description walking through the neighborhood but hadn't thought twice about it at the time.

Authorities said a truck is a possible suspect vehicle. It's described as a maroon 90s model pickup with a black front driver's side fender.

As the investigation continues, anyone with information is encouraged to contact the police.

The credit union was closed shortly after the robbery and remained closed the remainder of the day.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Tyler Police did not know when it would reopen.

You can see the entire raw surveillance video from the credit union security cameras HERE on our web site.
