Watch for YourTurn normally scheduled to air at the end of Heartland News at Noon on Mondays and Fridays, at the end of Heartland News at 10:00 on Saturday nights, and following The Breakfast Show on Sunday mornings.
Dr Andrew Boldrey from Sikeston, Missouri:
"As a pediatrician, I appreciate your story on forged school excuses. Unfortunately, half the story was left untold. Pediatricians have been working closely with school officials and truancy officers to maximize the time our patients spend in the classroom. We have developed excuse forms that are nearly impossible to forge including water marks, raised seals, or only faxing the form to the school. Your last line of the story, that doctors knowingly falsify excuse forms, suggested a contrary to the truth. Any doctor forging documents is certainly in the minority."
Jim Welk from Cape Girardeau:
"Mike Smythe's ViewPoint on (Lt. Governor) Peter Kinder upset me. The job of the news media is to keep an eye on our elected officials as they have very little oversight in office. Peter Kinder has already demonstrated that he has problems keeping public and personal money separated. Instead of praising him Smythe should be pointing out (his) problem with expenses. I am disappointed in Smythe's ViewPoint.
Alex Mayes from Sikeston, Missouri:
"Everyone is acting as though Steve Jobs is dead or has left the company for good…he is staying on as chairman of the board still dealing with Apple issues and products. As a dedicated Apple user, I am disappointed to hear that he left the CEO position but am confident Tim Cook will be a great replacement…he was personally groomed by Steve Jobs."
