Say goodbye to sinking and getting stuck in the grass? Oh, and say hello to TV's Leeza Gibbons. "OK, my friend Leeza wears heels better than anybody I know" says KLTV's Joe Terrell. "I only wear them
But in a world where we encase our cell phones, our sunglasses - we even sell cases to cover our suitcases - do we really need cap covers for our high heels?

MALDEN, MO (KFVS) -

The commercial for Fast Brite says it's, "The lens restorer that brings your headlights to good as new in 30 seconds!"

That kind of big claim certainly got Charley Brooks' attention. Charley wants the headlights on his '02 Grand Prix restored.

"It's time to do something," he said.

The instructions say we only have to pour a dime-sized amount of the polish onto the lamp. We can see the years of oxidation built up on the car's lights.

We don't see results though right away.

"It doesn't look like it's doing much of anything to me. It should be clear when you buff it. I feel like I wanna put more on than dime-sized, but it said dime!"

However, the directions say we should generously pour on the next step--the polish.

It's cleaner at least, but is it brighter?

"Not very much. Not when you compare it to the box!"

Charley buffs and polishes the other front lamp, too, and then promises to drive the car at night to see if there's any difference.

"Right now, I'd have to say a 'C."

This product's not exactly living up to its promises.

It says it can make a car's lights look "showroom clean in 30 seconds!"

"No, no, not even close."

The car pretty much looks the same. I checked back with Charley.  He lowered that final grade big time, reporting his lights aren't any brighter at night.

"It doesn't look like it's going to do much of anything to me."

Charley's headed to the shop for new headlights, while we 'park' this test. We put the brakes on the $10 Fast Brite lens restore kit with a big fat 'F' on this Does it Work test.
