LOUISVILLE, KY (WAVE) – The Department of Health and Human Services has launched a major initiative to prevent a million heart attacks and strokes.
The effort will focus on getting Americans to quit smoking, control blood pressure and cholesterol levels, and eat healthier. The goal is to prevent 1 million heart events over a five year period.
Walgreens will offer free blood pressure screenings and consultations with a nurse practitioner.
