The Florida cattle buyer who went missing in Johnson County faces new charges in Texas, as authorities in Bollinger County investigate claims he stole cattle from the Patton Junction Livestock Auction.
ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -
A homicide investigation is underway after a St. Francois County man died Wednesday night in St. Louis.
According to Coroner Jim Coplin, the victim Michael "Todd" Sirclum, 38, of Bismarck died from head trauma.
Police say Jason Roberts, 27, of Leadwood is wanted for the beating death of the Bismarck man.
Roberts faces first-degree assault charges and police say more charges are pending.
Sirclum was beaten at his home on Christmas Eve, according to Bismarck Police Chief Dave Dickerson.
According to the chief, officers responded to Sirclum's home around 5:45 p.m. and saw that the victim was injured and receiving treatment from Bismark Fire Department.
Officers then talked to Sirclum's wife who told police that Roberts hit her husband in the head and knocked him to the ground.
According to Chief Dickerson, Roberts was identified by Sirclum's wife as the person who assaulted her husband.
Sirclum was then airlifted to a St. Louis hospital and later put on life support, according to Chief Dickerson. Sirclum died at 9:15 p.m. on Wednesday at the hospital.
Funeral services were held Saturday for the victim.
