Good Morning
Today is Friday, January 20
Brrrrr ... Brian tells me you can expect a chilly and possibly damp start to your Friday. But he's also hinting at a nice change for this afternoon. Watch The Breakfast Show this morning to see what he's forecasting and read more about today's weather in his morning blog.
This morning we're also gathering new information about a fire at Kiger Electric in Dexter. This family run business burned overnight and we're working to bring you video.
Starting at 5 this morning we'll also show you the highlights from last night's GOP debate in South Carolina. Let's just say Newt Gingrich was not happy about his first question being about one of his former wife's comments about an open marriage.
At 5:10 this morning we'll also show you a 1 night only performance of President Obama at the Apollo! During a fundraiser he couldn't help himself and broke into song. If you miss it early we'll play a bit more around 6:30.
Today Jim and Lauren are also talking about what's new at the box office this weekend. That includes the movie, "Red Tails" that is about the Tuskegee Airmen. And did you know - it appears some of the Tuskegee Airmen pilots were from right here in the Heartland!
At 6 watch for new details about an Illinois police chief busted for stealing an X-Box video game system!
And I know many of you have become Tim Tebow fans this football season. Well, now a pizza maker is serving up Tebow Pizzas! See them for yourself at 6:15 this morning.
Topping health news this morning we have a new story about the world's smallest heart pump that's saving heart patients that probably would have died without this amazing tool.
Yesterday on The Breakfast Show we first told you about 3 Stoddard County people arrested for child endangerment, we have an update on this story at 6:30. And we also have a similar story out of Parkville, Missouri. This really is one story you have to see to believe (and thankfully not smell). We'll show you inside of a house where kids were living with up to 10 dogs ... It's truly one of the most disgusting stories I've come across in 15 years in the news business.
I hope you can join Jim, Lauren, Brian and Stephanie this morning to start your Friday informed and entertained.
