Good Morning
Today is Monday, January 23

By now all of last night's severe weather is far away from the Heartland. And some areas did get some damage from the high winds. We are keeping an updated list of reports at kfvs12.com

If you have pictures or video of severe weather you can email them any time of the day to cnews@kfvs12.com or download our app. and send them from there. If you have a news tip email it to news@kfvs12.com or call us toll free at 800-455-KFVS.

At 6:20 this morning we will also show you some great weather video from Chicago and Washington State.

Back here in the Heartland, starting at 5 this morning Stephanie Byars will be reporting live from Marston, MO. This was one of the harder hit areas in the Heartland overnight.

But this morning it's not only the weather we're talking about, there's been a lot happening overnight. At 6 this morning we'll tell you about a meth bust in Dyer County that has left five people behind bars.

At 5 you will see some dramatic video from outside a Detroit courtroom where a murdered woman's mother tries to assault people.

Then at 5:30, something that's really causing a lot of controversy in Missouri. This morning we are hearing from the director of the Missouri Department of Transportation about the proposal to make I-70 in Missouri a toll road.

Parents, if you can watch at 5:20 this morning we have a story that should interest you. We're talking about parenting apps for your smart phone. This morning we look at a new one that creates a virtual emergency friend list for your children. This one actually seems to have some potential to be a very useful tool and not just a gimmick.

And by now - there's a good chance you have heard of Pinterest. If you haven't then make sure you are watching at 6:40 today. This web site has something for everyone it seems and I can say from experience it has a lot of people talking about it.

I hope you stayed safe, warm and dry overnight. It'll be windy this morning, but should be dry.

Have a great Monday!
