JACKSON, MO (KFVS) -

The state's stealing case against Clay Waller moved forward Tuesday in Cape Girardeau County.

Even though Waller is in a Louisiana prison, a judge issued two warrants for his arrest.

Tuesday's hearing was for the stealing and harassment charges Waller faces in state court.

Cape Girardeau County prosecutors say Tuesday's move was just a formality.

Waller was sentenced to five years in prison earlier this month on federal internet threat charges not related to the state charges.
