Smith scores 1000th point in SEMO win

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (KFVS) -

Southeast Missouri State junior guard Marland Smith scored 1,000 points for his career Thursday night in an 86-56 win over UT Martin at the Show Me Center.

Smith hit the milestone with a lay with 22-seconds remaining to give him the exact amount of points needed.

Tyler Stone led the Redhawks with 19-points as SEMO improved to 13-11 and 8-4 in the Ohio Valley.

UT Martin is now 3-23 and 0-13 in the OVC.
