Help save a life by joining the national registry of bone marrow donors.
The Cape Girardeau County Area Medical Society Alliance will hold a bone marrow registry drive on Friday, March 30, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Harrison Room at Southeast Hospital.
You do not need to make an appointment. The entire process takes about 15 minutes and includes four cheek swabs.
To join the registry, you must be between the ages of 18 and 60, be willing to donate to any patient in need and meet a few simple health guidelines.
Patients need donors who are a genetic match. Donors with diverse race or ethnic backgrounds are particularly needed.
