RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KFVS) -

A man accused of murdering four elderly people in Ripley County pleaded guilty to four counts Monday in court.

David Youngblood pleaded guilty to the murders of Loyd and Irene Piatt and Ed Atkinson and Bonnie Chase.

Youngblood is accused of killing the two couples and setting their houses on fire.

He was sentenced to life in prison on each count to be served consecutively.

The bodies of 77-year-old Loyd Piatt, and his 80-year-old wife Irene were later found inside their burned home on June 23, 2010.

Youngblood is the Piatts' nephew.

Another fire broke out in Current View, not far from Doniphan on July 10, 2010. Edgar Atkinson and Bonnie Chase were found dead inside.

Keith Boyles was also in court Monday for those charges. Boyles pleaded not guilty. He waived his arraignment. His next court date is August 20.

Youngblood's wife and daughter also face charges in the case.

Melissa and Chantale Youngblood reportedly cleaned house for Bonnie Chase on a number of occasions.

Holly Brantley has been in the courtroom all morning and will bring more tonight on Heartland News and kfvs12.com.
