MARION, IL (KFVS) -
Marion police are looking for a suspect in connection to a late Friday afternoon bank robbery.
It happened at 4:20 p.m. at Fifth Third Bank on 3402 Heartland Street across from Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Investigators say the suspect had entered the bank, showed a gun, and demanded money from a bank teller. The suspect later left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a black female in her late 20s to early 30s, 5'3" to 5'5" in height, and weighing around 180-200 lbs. The suspect was wearing a red t-shirt, tan shorts, a black scarf on her head and brown sunglasses with large round frames.
The suspect was also seen in a newer black four door sedan.
The Marion Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying this female suspect.
