FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL (KFVS) -

A man from Bonnie has died after a wreck in Franklin County.

According to Franklin County Coroner Marty Leffler, the crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday on Rend Lake Dam Road.

Franklin County deputies told the coroner 31-year-old Tabitha Weeks of West Frankfort was driving east when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit a van driven by 41-year-old Craig Payne head on. Payne's wife, 38-year-old Marla, their 16-year-old son William, 12-year-old daughter Deloris, 10-year-old son Pierce, and 6-year-old daughter Jodi Anne were all in the van when the vehicles collided.

Craig Payne died at the Franklin County hospital about an hour after the crash. His wife and 3 of his children were taken to Franklin County hospital. Pierce Payne was taken to Children's Hospital in St. Louis.

Tabitha Weeks was airlifted to a St. Louis hospital. The coroner says alcohol is likely a factor in the deadly crash.

According to Franklin County Sheriffs Department, Tabitha Weeks has still not been charged with anything on Wednesday.  But he did say the investigation is still ongoing

Funeral services have been announced for Craig Payne, according to the funeral home.  Visitation is Wednesday from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Johnston Funeral Home in Ina, Illinois.  The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.  Visitation and the funeral are open to the public.
