DIEHLSTADT, MO (KFVS) -

U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson toured Diehlstadt Monday, June 11 to survey the damage caused by a tornado.

Emerson was in town at 9 a.m. and the tour started at the Stoddard County Courthouse.

"The recovery process is long, and it requires the diligence and attention of local, state and federal authorities to help the community recover from this event," Emerson said. "These are the important times when we all pull together and help on another back on our feet. I will support every request by the state and the local community for assistance."
