Southeast Mo. driver crashes pickup into abandoned house

ELLINGTON, MO (KFVS) -

Troopers say an Ellington man lost control of his pickup truck and crashed into an abandoned house early Sunday morning.

It happened shortly before 1:30 a.m. on Route M in Reynolds County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Christopher A. Keeney, 25, of Ellington lost control of the truck on a curve, went off the right side of the road, overturned and hit the house.

Keeney received moderate injuries and was taken by EMS to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

A passenger, Michael J. McMurray, 18, of Ellington also received moderate injuries and was taken to a Poplar Bluff hospital for treatment.

Troopers say the men were not wearing a seat belt. The pickup truck was totaled.
