Two years after he was charged in the 2006 death of a Jesse White tumbler and star high school basketball player, Eddie Fenton has been charged in a second death that occurred that year.
Cook County prosecutors Friday charged Fenton with the death of 28-year-old Johnathan Bowman and the wounding of a second person. The shooting occurred at a "back to school" party at the home of Fenton's sister.
Authorities say Fenton shot into a crowd of quarreling people. Assistant State's Attorney Patrick Morley says Fenton this week admitted to firing a gun the day of the party.
Fenton is charged in the death of 17-year-old Willie Williams III, who authorities say was trying to break up a fight between Fenton and a friend in a shopping mall parking lot.
