A southeast Missouri woman admits to stealing nearly $500,000 from her boss.
Authorities say Kathy Ellsworth, 48, of Dexter worked as a bookkeeper when she stole the money within a two-year period.
Police won't say who her employer was, but say she mainly took the money by forging checks.
Experts say the officer who killed a Long Island college student and a home invasion suspect on Friday was confronted with a split-second choice.
