PADUCAH, KY (KFVS) -

A man and woman were arrested for meth related offenses Wednesday in Paducah.

James E. Bradley, 33, is charged with three counts of trafficking a controlled substance.

McCraken County detectives began an investigation in early June, in which they bought crystal meth from Bradley various times.

McCraken County detectives searched Bradley's home and found 15 grams of crystal meth and several hundreds of dollars.

The value of the meth seized was $1,500.

Bradley has an extensive criminal history for past felonious assaults, burglaries, wanton endangerment, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of criminal forged instrument, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and other convictions. Bradley had just been released from prison on April 26 and was on felony parole at the time of this new arrest.

While reviewing a cell phone that was seized from Bradley, several individuals continued to call and text in attempt to purchase controlled substances from Bradley, according to the McCracken County Sheriff's Department. Detectives spoke with one female via text message and agreed to sell her a quantity of methamphetamine at her request.

An undercover McCracken County Sheriff's detective met with the woman and sold her meth. The woman was arrested immediately.

Amanda L. Johnson, 44, of Oakdale, La. is charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Detectives searched Johnson and her purse and located several doses of Hydrocodone, Valium, syringes, spoons and additional methamphetamine.

Johnson was purchasing the meth for resell, according to the sheriff's department. 

She was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
