    A fire in Oran destroyed a 2-story house on Tuesday morning.      According to the Oran Fire Department, it happened at 4:05 a.m. at 907 highway W, which is right in the middle of town.     Firefighters
    No one was living in the home at the time of the time. Fire crews tell Heartland News that the family had just moved out.

ANNA, IL (KFVS) -

Crews spent a late night and early morning on the scene of a collision involving a pedestrian and a train in Anna.

Illinois State Police say Jeffrey W. Kelley, 49, of Mounds died after he was hit by a Canadian National Train around 10:45 p.m. Sunday.

It happened on the train tracks 561 feet south of North Main Street in Anna. Train personnel tried to warn Kelley of its approach, according to ISP.

The victim lost both of his feet and lost a lot of blood when the train hit him.

Kelley was taken to Union County Hospital where he later died from his injuries at 2:15 a.m.

ISP says alcohol was a factor. Officers removed a box of beer cans from the scene.

There were 160 cars on the train, but none ran off the tracks.

The train crossings in Anna were blocked for about an hour and a half.

The intersection opened back up overnight.
